The new software comes as standard on all Net-Top-Boxes (NTB). This has been developed with users and creatives in mind and some of the key features and benefits are listed below
NEW IN V7.4.0
The following improvements have been made:
New features:
- The Ad hoc facilities have been made easier to use.
- Condition play feature allows Local Information to control Schedules and Playlists.
- Schedules now have an optional end date as well as a start date.
- The Active Channel can now be set to automatically publish itself once a day.
- XML interface to Channel Activation and Channel Publishing
- Security improvements.
- Zones can now have names.
- Layout Editor has been improved for easier use.
- Support the NTB5500.

- Support synchronising time with NTP from a Windows Server.

NEW IN V7.3.0
The following improvements have been made:
New features:
- Reporting via secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) to the Digital Signage Manager (DSM)
- Remote management of the NTB via the VPN from the DSM
- Media Audit feature:
- The NTB can now audit the playing of media. Auditing can be turned on item by item or for all items in a Zone.
- Media Auditing records the name of the media played, at what time and for how long.
- Reporting can be configured to send Media audit records to the DSM.
- Support the new NTB510 model.
- The NTB Firewall is now permanently enabled.
- New Help system with topic index and search facility.
- New Korean translation.
- XML API available on localhost for Web Applications running on the NTB. The XML API gives access to the NTB Local Information that is useful in customising Web Applications.
- The International Settings now support Cornish, Irish, Manx Gaelic, Scots Gaelic and Welsh.
- Updated to Adobe Flash 10.0.32.18.

V7.1 introduces a new easier user interface with Drop down menus for fast navigation and a New home page which includes list of recently used Layouts. Existing user rest assured if preferred the old Classic V6 home page can still be used instead. V7.1 also includes new functionality:
- Drag and drop play-list re-ordering
- Update from Centre feature. Ad hoc Text Items can be marked as 'Update from Centre'. Changes to Items with this setting can only be made on a Publisher. When the override text is changed on the Publisher, the new text is automatically distributed to all Subscribers in the current Channel.
- Reporting mechanism to support the forthcoming Digital Signage Manager (DSM). The DSM server based network monitoring and audit system will be available in Beta from the end of March 09 and is scheduled for full release early Q3 2009
- NTB610 and NTB615 models are supported
- USB Touch Screen Input for interactive applications (requires seperate license).
- RS232 Control line inputs and outputs for sensing switches for interactive applications.
- LDAP support - add user authenication and permissions can be setup in an LDAP directory. Tested against Microsoft Activate Directory and OpenLDAP.
- DVB-T Rebroadcaster allows one NTB to stream one DVB-T TV station to any number of NTBs (requires a seperate license).
- The Web User Interface of the NTB is now supported; Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Spanish

NEW 6.1.0 Features
- Drag and Drop Layout editing allow easy Layout creation and modification.
- Clock are now text items and can show the time in any time zone.
- The language and country used to localise output on the NTB screen is configurable on the Setup/International page.
- Text can now be scrolled in four directions right to left, left to right, bottom to top and top to bottom.
- The Web user interface has been localised for Arabic.
NEW 6.0.0 Features
- Movie items can be cropped to show only a part of the movie in the zone.
Useful for showing wide screen movies on portrait mode screens
- Zone transparency (Millenium and Century NTB only) – Allowing Zones to be placed on top of each other e.g. Text can now be shown on top of a still or moving image.
- Screen thumbnails – On the user interface homepage, the top left corner now displays a thumbnail image of the live screen the NTB is connected to.
- Unlimited scheduling – It is now possible to schedule layouts indefinitely into the future.
- Auto software updates – The NTB is now able at your request to automatically search for software updates and update itself at a time convenient for the user when releases are made.
- Rich Text – In any Zone multiple colours, fonts, underlining can take place at the same time.
